User Input Devices

So we were brainstorming different types of user input devices that we could use in our game. We want to bring something new/different to the table.

Flex Sensor Glove

Matt found this awesome video of someone building a flex sensor glove.

Here is another example using an arduino but using to control a robotic hand: http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Robotic-Hand-Controlled-by-a-Glove-and-Arduino/

If we were to attempt this we would probably build it our ourselves using an arduino board. However is this new? There was the Power Glove for the Nintendo that was released in the late 80s. It was apparently a commercial failure since the games designed for it sold poorly. Is it a risk to have the same thing happen to us? To be discussed.
