Customizing Trees
We decided a few weeks ago that we want to create a few trees that can be customized to look different, instead of creating tons of trees. This makes creating forests more interesting as the trees will be from the same family but look different from one another.
Tree 1 – The Spirit Tree
This trees comes in completely separate trunks/branches. A tree from this family could be made up of 3-4 of its trunks, but they all must be within close proximity to each other. Each trunk can rotate 360 degrees.
Tree 2 – The Spikemetric Tree
This tree has one trunk and 6 branches. Any number of branches can be used to create this tree. Its branches are found within the top third of the trunk and can be rotate 360 degrees around the tree.
Tree 3 – The Stretching Tree
This tree has one trunk and three branches. All branches must be used, and their location doesn’t change, but they can be rotated between 0-215 and 300-360 degrees.
Tree 4 – The Solo Tree
Named so for its lonely trunk. This tree is unable to grow branches only its trunk grows. This trunk can be scaled in any direction and rotated 360 degrees.
Tree 5 – The Willowbury Tree
This tree is a cousin of the Spirit tree. It only has multiple trunks. It is one trunk that can be duplicated 3-5 times and rotated around to different positions. The leaves of this tree can sit in the center of the trunks or above them, never below.
